# Onboarding and Referrals

> How to get started on WLTH and how the referral program works. Points are what referrals pay out.

How to get started on WLTH and how the referral program works.

## Getting Started

WLTH runs on mobile. Referral rewards are an app feature, so the app is where you should start.

    Enter your email address and confirm you agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

    Check your inbox and tap the confirmation link.

  <Step title="Complete identity verification">
    Required before your first purchase.

  <Step title="Add a wallet (optional)">
    You can connect any WalletConnect-compatible wallet, or use the embedded wallet created with your account. You can skip this and add one later.

  <Step title="Buy your first Slice">
    Minimum \$20, settled in USDC. Your Slice appears in your Portfolio immediately.

  You can also create an account at [wlth.xyz](https://wlth.xyz) on desktop. Web accounts work for browsing and purchasing, but referral rewards require the app. If you were referred by a friend, use the app or neither of you will be credited.

## Referrals

Share WLTH with people you think would like it. When they invest, you both earn points.

### Finding your referral link

Tap the more icon in the bottom right of the app and select **Referral**. Your page shows your unique invite code and both reward values.

Tap **Copy code** to copy your code, or **Share invite** to open your device's share sheet and send it via Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, AirDrop or any other app. The message pre-populates with your link.

### What counts as a qualifying referral

Both rewards unlock only when your friend completes all three steps:

1. Downloads the WLTH app using your referral link
2. Creates an account and completes identity verification
3. Makes a Slice purchase of \$20 or more inside the app

Downloading the app or creating an account is not enough on its own. The purchase is the trigger. Web purchases do not qualify.

### What you both get

You earn **10,000 points** every time someone you referred completes their first qualifying purchase. There is no cap.

Your friend earns **20,000 points** on that same purchase. They receive more than you because they are taking the larger step, downloading a new app and investing for the first time.

Both rewards are credited automatically the moment the purchase completes. No manual steps, no waiting.

### Rules

* Your friend must be new to WLTH. Existing accounts do not qualify.
* Minimum qualifying purchase is \$20, completed inside the WLTH app.
* Self-referrals are not permitted.
* Each referred user triggers a referral reward once only, regardless of how many purchases they make afterwards.
* Anti-abuse checks run continuously. Referrals identified as invalid or abusive will not qualify.
* If a qualifying purchase is refunded or reversed, the associated rewards may be revoked for both parties.

## Points

Points are what the referral program pays out. The conversion rate is fixed at **1,000 points = \$1**. Your balance is visible in the app at all times, and points never expire.

  Points are not XP. XP is a separate currency used only in Earn to Own campaigns. XP determines your leaderboard rank in a campaign and does not convert to points. Points do not affect your Earn to Own position. See [Earn to Own](/docs/earn-to-own) for how XP works.

### Redemption

Points are accruing now. Full redemption details will be announced soon. Points will be redeemable for prizes, events, Slices and more, subject to change. Every point you earn today counts.

    Rewards trigger on their first qualifying purchase, not on signup. If they have purchased in-app and you still have no points, contact support.

    No. Earn to Own missions award XP, which is a separate currency.

  <Accordion title="What if I signed up on the web?">
    Web accounts are fully functional for browsing and purchasing, but referral rewards require the app. Download the app and sign in with the same account.
