Investing.com-- Anthropic is set to finalize an expansion of its revolving credit facility to $15 billion, clearing a key hurdle ahead of a highly anticipated initial public offering, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) is leading the process, while Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) and Citigroup (NYSE:C) also have prominent roles on the facility, according to the report. The four banks are also leading Anthropic's IPO.

Barclays (LON:BARC) and Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) are expected to have key roles on the loan, while Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), Deutsche Bank (ETR:DBKGn), Royal Bank of Canada (BMV:RYN) and UBS (NYSE:UBS) are also high in the facility's lineup, Bloomberg reported.

The credit line would be substantially larger than Anthropic's roughly $10 billion target and its $2.5 billion five-year facility secured last year.

Anthropic is seeking to raise as much as SpaceX or more in its IPO, the report said. The Claude chatbot maker's annualized revenue has surpassed $65 billion, Bloomberg previously reported.

Details of the credit facility could still change, the report added.
