Anthropic has rolled out a new set of connectors for its Claude AI assistant, extending integrations beyond workplace tools to a range of consumer applications.
The update allows Claude to connect with apps including Spotify, Uber Eats, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, Instacart and TurboTax, among others.
Once connected, Claude can surface relevant app-based actions or information within conversations. For example, it may suggest using AllTrails for hiking routes or pull in context from connected services based on user queries.
The company said that user data from connected apps is not used to train its models, and individual apps do not have access to conversations outside their specific interactions. Users can also disconnect integrations at any time.

Anthropic added that Claude does not include paid placements or sponsored results in responses. When multiple apps are relevant to a query, the assistant presents options ranked by usefulness.
For actions such as purchases or bookings, Claude prompts users for confirmation before proceeding.
The connectors are available across all Claude plans. Users can manage integrations through the "connectors" option within the assistant's settings.

Some similar integrations are already available in competing AI platforms such as ChatGPT.
