Bessent and Powell held meeting with US bank CEOs to discuss Anthropic cyber risks; NLB launches €565mn bid for Addiko

US Treasury secretary Scott Bessent and Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell held a meeting on Tuesday with senior executives from Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo to discuss cyber risks linked to Anthropic's latest AI model, Mythos.

Anthropic launched its Mythos model earlier this week but held back from a full release, due to concerns that it could expose previously unknown cyber security vulnerabilities.
