The program is explicitly restricted to verified K-12 school teachers operating within the United States. Educators located in international regions, including India, are excluded from this specific initiative but can continue utilizing the standard free or paid tiers of the platform.
Anthropic has integrated Claude with major academic platforms to maximise classroom utility. The tool features direct data links with Canva Education for visual asset creation, alongside structured content partnerships with specialized educational bodies like Learning Commons and Illustrative Mathematics.
To ensure safety within school districts, the platform operates under strict legal compliance. It fully adheres to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), meaning student records remain protected, and inputs are never recycled to train Anthropic's future language models.
