Major UK motorway bridge shuts sparking traffic chaos after crash

The M4 Prince of Wales bridge is closed, sparking chaos on the roads for motorists travelling this morning

There are heavy delays on the M4 today after a crash early this morning forced emergency services to close a motorway bridge.

At around 8.30am today (Sunday, April 12), the Prince of Wales Bridge was shut in both directions for emergency services to respond to a crash site. Teams are said to be clearing debris from the road.

Delays are affecting all drivers heading to and from Wales, though two of three lands have now reopened both eastbound and westbound since the crash earlier this morning.
