MSC Cruises is set to launch MSC World Asia in December. The new ship will feature a floating amusement park in the Mediterranean. Attractions include over-water swings and LEGO parades. The ship aims to provide immersive technology and interactive games for all ages. This expansion promises bigger and bolder family entertainment at sea.
For families dreaming of a holiday where the journey feels just as exciting as the destination, the sea is about to get a lot more adventurous. Imagine a floating amusement park in the middle of the Mediterranean, complete with over-water swings, glowing nighttime theme zones, LEGO parades, and interactive game arenas. On April 27, 2026, MSC Cruises unveiled exactly that with a major expansion of its family entertainment offering aboard its upcoming flagship, MSC World Asia, set to enter service as part of its Mediterranean deployment.
The ship, which is scheduled to debut in December this year, will operate 7-night Mediterranean itineraries calling at destinations including Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Naples, and Valletta, combining destination-led cruising with a redesigned onboard entertainment ecosystem built around immersive technology, interactive games, and multi-generational family experiences.
MSC Cruises Vice President of Entertainment Steve Leatham said the new ship reflects the company's family-first approach. "As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday... family entertainment will reach new heights - bigger, bolder and more innovative than ever," he said.
The cruise line says the new experiences are designed to deliver "extraordinary moments at sea" for toddlers, teens, and adults alike.

The Clubhouse is designed as a multi-use entertainment zone blending nostalgia and modern activity.
It includes LEGO family play zones, Roller skating and bumper cars, Sports and wellness activities, Live game shows like MasterChef at Sea Juniors and Guinness World Records challenges.

At night, the area transforms into a glowing entertainment zone with live shows, parades, and family activities.

For kids, events include K-Pop-themed parties, Roller dance nights, Competitive quiz and challenge games, and Dedicated teen sessions in entertainment venues. MSC says the goal is to make teen experiences more personalized and interactive.
