Two crashes on busy Perth highways cause commuter chaos

Multi-car crash on Narrows Bridge sparks peak-hour chaos, Tonkin Highway also hit by traffic delays

A multi-car prang on a busy Perth freeway is already causing traffic chaos for commuters.

Several cars collided around 6.30am on the northbound side of Narrows Bridge, blocking the two left lanes.

Main Roads WA have warned there is traffic congestion on approach to Mill Point Road as commuters try to get around the crash.

Police are also on scene.

A crash southbound on Tonkin Highway is also backing up traffic near the exit to Dunreath Drive and Perth Airport.

The left turn lane to those exits is blocked as tow trucks work to move the cars.

Main Roads WA said traffic was heavy on approach back to Guildford Road and urged drivers to merge safely.

Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution due to the extra congestion.
