WATCH: SpaceX Launches Starfall Demo Mission from Cape Canaveral on Tuesday
BREVARD COUNTY * CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA - SpaceX successfully launched its Starfall Demo mission Tuesday morning aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The Falcon 9 lifted off at 6:43 a.m. EDT, beginning the mission to low-Earth orbit during a one-hour launch window. Weather conditions were favorable as the rocket soared into the early morning sky above Florida's Space Coast.
The mission marked the 29th flight for the Falcon 9 first-stage booster, continuing SpaceX's industry-leading efforts in rocket reusability.
The veteran booster previously supported several high-profile missions, including NASA's Crew-6 mission, SES O3b mPOWER-B, USSF-124, BlueBird 1-5, Nusantara Lima (PSN N5), and 23 Starlink launches.
Following stage separation, the booster successfully returned to Earth, landing aboard the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
The recovery added another successful landing to SpaceX's growing record of reusable rocket operations.
