Intercontinental Exchange Invests $600 Million Into Polymarket to Scale Prediction Markets

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has announced a $600 million strategic investment in Polymarket. This massive capital investment aims to boost Polymarket's infrastructure as the platform transitions from a crypto-native niche into a mainstream financial data powerhouse. The partnership focuses on integrating ICE's world-class execution capabilities with Polymarket's decentralized prediction technology to serve a growing base of institutional users. This investment comes after a period of unprecedented growth for Polymarket. By using the experience and connectivity of the ICE platform, Polymarket aims to improve its order matching systems and data licensing business. This is a major development in the field of prediction markets, as traditional finance leaders are now seeing prediction markets as legitimate sources of alternative data. Jeff Sprecher, Founder and CEO of ICE, noted that the collaboration aligns with the firm's history of digitizing analogue markets to create transparency. The funds will specifically support the development of Polymarket Pro, a dedicated suite for professional traders that incorporates advanced risk management tools and deeper liquidity pools. This expansion is expected to bridge the gap between decentralized finance and regulated capital markets. The rise of prediction markets has already begun reshaping how analysts interpret global trends. In early 2026, tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and decentralized data layers became foundational elements in global finance, with institutional interest shifting toward platforms that offer verifiable, market-driven insights. Prediction markets are now considered a more reliable tool than conventional polls or expert opinions, as participants put their money where their mouths are in support of their opinions. ICE's $600M investment in Polymarket further solidifies the institutional status of the prediction market, but the backlash against nuclear detonation markets illustrates the need for responsible governance of the platform as it shifts from a crypto-focused niche player to a mainstream data giant.

ICE Finalizes $600M Polymarket Capital Commitment - Blockonomi

The October 2025 deal valued Polymarket at about $8 billion before the investment. Intercontinental Exchange confirmed a new $600 million direct cash investment into Polymarket on Friday morning. The company also plans to acquire up to $40 million in securities from existing holders. With these steps, ICE completes its previously announced investment arrangement with the platform. ICE disclosed that the $600 million payment forms part of Polymarket's ongoing equity capital raise. The company also expects to purchase up to $40 million in securities from certain current shareholders. Together, these transactions fulfill ICE's structured commitment of up to $2 billion. ICE made its first direct investment in October 2025 with a $1 billion tranche. That transaction valued Polymarket at about $8 billion before the investment. The post-money valuation ranged between $9 billion and $10 billion. However, ICE has not yet disclosed the valuation attached to the new $600 million tranche. The company stated that it will release specific terms after Polymarket completes its fundraising. ICE confirmed that these investments will not materially affect its financial results. It also said the transactions will not alter expected capital return plans. ICE owns and operates the New York Stock Exchange. The company ranks among the largest providers of financial market technology and data worldwide. Therefore, the transaction adds Polymarket to its portfolio of strategic investments. ICE structured the funding as a multi-part program. The latest payment and planned secondary purchases complete that program. No executive statements accompanied the March 2026 disclosure. Polymarket operates a prediction market platform focused on real-world event outcomes. Users place wagers based on aggregated probabilities of future events. During the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the platform recorded elevated activity from retail and institutional participants. The October 2025 agreement included plans for ICE to distribute Polymarket's event-driven data globally. ICE aimed to provide that data to institutional clients through its existing channels. The companies also referenced collaboration on tokenization initiatives at that time. However, the latest announcement did not revisit distribution or tokenization plans. ICE focused solely on confirming the completion of its capital commitment. The company described the investment as part of its existing arrangement. Polymarket's primary competitor remains Kalshi, which operates under CFTC regulation. Both platforms offer contracts tied to event outcomes and probabilities. ICE did not comment on competitive positioning in its statement. ICE reiterated that its total commitment now reaches the upper limit of the original agreement. The combined primary and secondary investments account for the full planned allocation. Specific valuation details will follow once Polymarket finalizes its equity raise.

Anthropic targets IPO as early as October 2026, eyes over $60Bn raise: Report - The Tech Portal

Anthropic is now reportedly aiming for a potential IPO as early as October 2026. The AI firm is continuing early discussions with banks and advisers, reports Bloomberg. While talks remain preliminary, no formal filing has been made yet, and timelines could still change. This comes just months after the company secured a massive $30 billion funding round in February 2026, which valued the company at around $380 billion. Earlier reports suggest that the firm could raise more than $60 billion in its potential IPO. The listing would position Anthropic among the largest tech IPOs in recent years, especially as investor interest in AI continues to accelerate. The company is said to be in early conversations with major Wall Street institutions like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley, which typically handle large-scale public offerings. These early engagements are generally focused on assessing investor demand, setting expectations around pricing, and structuring the deal. Anthropic's IPO plans come at a time when AI has become the main focus in global tech investing. Over the past two years, enterprises across sectors - including finance, healthcare, software, and customer service - have rapidly adopted generative AI tools to improve productivity and automate workflows. And the company has been scaling its Claude family of AI models, which are increasingly integrated into enterprise platforms for coding, document analysis, research, and conversational use cases. It directly competes with major players like OpenAI and Google DeepMind. However, despite such intensifying competition and growing regulatory pressure in the US, financially, Anthropic is scaling at an exceptional pace. The company is estimated to be operating at around a $14 billion annualized revenue run rate in early 2026, with projections suggesting it could move closer to $18-20 billion as enterprise demand continues to grow. A large share of this revenue is driven by business customers, with enterprises contributing the majority through API usage and long-term contracts, and a rising number of clients spending over $100,000 to $1 million annually on its AI services. Its user base has also expanded rapidly along with this revenue growth. Anthropic's Claude models are estimated to have tens of millions of monthly active users, along with hundreds of thousands of enterprise customers worldwide. In terms of capital, the company has raised over $67 billion in total funding to date. Meanwhile, it is important to note that Anthropic has not finalized its IPO plans, and factors like market volatility, regulatory scrutiny, and shifts in investor sentiment could impact the timeline. The scenario becomes even more significant as reports suggest that its biggest rival, OpenAI, is also preparing for a potential 2026 listing, with early discussions already underway. Intercontinental Exchange Deepens Polymarket Stake Through $600M Investment - Crypto Economy

Intercontinental Exchange has expanded its commitment to Polymarket with a fresh $600 million investment, completing a previously arranged funding plan and reinforcing its long‑term interest in the prediction market sector. The move follows an earlier $1 billion injection and signals ICE's confidence in the platform's ability to scale amid rising institutional attention. ICE also indicated it may purchase up to $40 million in additional shares from existing holders, bringing its total potential exposure close to $2 billion while maintaining that the transaction will not materially affect its financial results. The latest capital infusion adds momentum to ICE's broader strategy of deepening its presence in event‑based trading. Polymarket has become a central venue for users who trade on outcomes tied to elections, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments. Prices on the platform shift in real time, reflecting collective expectations. ICE's investment arrives as competition intensifies, with rival Kalshi raising more than $1 billion at a $22 billion valuation and generating an estimated $1.5 billion in annual revenue, underscoring the sector's accelerating growth. Polymarket has emerged as one of the most active platforms in the space, drawing increased trading activity and heightened regulatory attention. Investor interest continues to rise even as lawmakers debate whether prediction markets could be vulnerable to manipulation or insider behavior. These discussions are expected to influence how regulators approach Polymarket and its peers, especially as valuations across the sector climb toward the $20 billion range. To prepare for potential oversight, Polymarket has taken steps to strengthen its operational framework. It acquired a licensed exchange and clearinghouse earlier this year and expanded its political and financial partnerships. The company also announced a collaboration with Palantir and TWG AI to develop a surveillance system designed to detect suspicious trading patterns within its sports markets, reinforcing its commitment to integrity. ICE's continued investment highlights a growing belief that prediction markets could eventually sit alongside traditional financial instruments. If regulatory clarity improves, platforms like Polymarket may become mainstream tools for traders seeking exposure to real‑world events.

Anthropic's Claude Mythos AI Model Exposed in Major Data Breach - Blockonomi

The AI firm is exploring a potential public offering targeted for October 2026 An inadvertent security lapse has exposed confidential information regarding Anthropic's upcoming AI system, dubbed Claude Mythos. The disclosure occurred when sensitive materials remained accessible through the organization's content management infrastructure. The breach stemmed from what the company characterized as a configuration mistake made by personnel. Anthropic has implemented corrective measures to prevent unauthorized access to the compromised information. Exposed materials encompassed draft blog entries and confidential organizational documentation. Additionally, the leak uncovered arrangements for an exclusive executive gathering in Europe scheduled for later this year. Claude Mythos is positioned as a substantial upgrade from the company's existing Opus-class offerings. According to leaked draft content, the designation was selected to "evoke the deep connective tissue that links together knowledge and ideas." A limited group of clients has already gained preliminary access for evaluation purposes. Company representatives acknowledged ongoing development while emphasizing a cautious deployment strategy. "We're developing a general-purpose model with meaningful advances in reasoning, coding, and cybersecurity," an Anthropic spokesperson said. The exposed draft characterized Mythos as "larger and more intelligent" compared to Opus variants. Documentation indicated the system constitutes an entirely new classification rather than an incremental enhancement. The compromised documents highlighted significant concerns regarding the model's cybersecurity proficiency. Unpublished content cautioned that Mythos "currently far ahead of any other AI model in cyber capabilities." Furthermore, the material noted the system "presages an upcoming wave of models that can exploit vulnerabilities in ways that far outpace the efforts of defenders." This language indicates recognition of potential misuse scenarios. The security incident coincided with a favorable court ruling for the company against a Trump Administration directive prohibiting federal agencies from utilizing its technology. The firm had contended the restriction threatened substantial revenue streams. Backed by major technology investors including Amazon and Google, the organization continues aggressive expansion amid intense competition with entities such as OpenAI. Separate reporting indicates the company is evaluating a stock market listing potentially scheduled for October 2026. Such a move would create direct competition with OpenAI's anticipated public offering. The proposed timing would position the firm among several prominent AI enterprises pursuing capital through public markets. No formal confirmation regarding the IPO timeline has been issued. Company officials have neither validated nor refuted the reported October target date. Between the favorable court decision and the Mythos disclosure, the AI developer finds itself navigating multiple high-profile situations simultaneously.

Crypto prices slide alongside software names following leak of new Anthropic model

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) is down nearly 3% early Friday, likely contributing to bitcoin's tumble back to $66,000. Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind Claude, has begun testing a new AI model more capable than any it has released previously, Fortune reported. The company said the model represents "a step change" in performance and is "the most capable we've built to date." It is currently being tested with a small group of early access customers as Anthropic evaluates its behavior and risks. Among the names moving sharply lower on the news: Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Crowdstrike (CRWD) and Fortinet (FTNT) are all down 4%-6%. The broader iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) is off 2.5%. The leak overnight likely contributed to bitcoin's BTC$66,104.97 tumble back to the $66,000 level after flirting with $70,000 hours earlier. Details about the model surfaced after internal materials were accidentally exposed in a publicly accessible data store, according to Fortune. Around 3,000 assets linked to Anthropic's blog were available online, including draft announcements and internal content that had not yet been released. Among the files was a draft blog post referring to the model as "Claude Mythos." The document warned that the system could pose serious cybersecurity risks, pointing to its ability to identify and exploit software vulnerabilities. Anthropic currently offers three tiers of models -- Opus, Sonnet and Haiku -- which vary in size, cost and capability. The leaked materials suggest the company is developing a new tier called "Capybara," which would be even larger and more intelligent than Opus, the company's most advanced model to date.

Cyber stocks plunge after reportedly leaked document shows Anthropic is worried its new model will enable indefensible online attacks

Cybersecurity stocks are suffering from another case of Claude-struption: Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Fortinet, Zscaler, and Okta are all slumping in premarket trading after Fortune reported that a data leak from Anthropic revealed an updated AI model the company fears is so powerful that malicious actors could launch cyberattacks that these companies wouldn't be able to defend against. Per the leaked document reviewed by Fortune, the new model "presages an upcoming wave of models that can exploit vulnerabilities in ways that far outpace the efforts of defenders," and Anthropic plans to release it early to cybersecurity companies in order to help improve their ability to withstand attacks. According to experts cited by Fortune, this leak was able to be discovered because digital assets created in Anthropic's content management system "are set to public by default" unless a user shifts them to be kept private. Anthropic refers to this as "human error." But given how Claude Cowork was created by Claude Code, one presumes that Anthropic makes extensive use of its AI tools for code and products deployed both internally and externally. This leaves us with a bit of a conundrum. Anthropic is simultaneously able to: * Develop an AI model so powerful that traditional cyber defenders might be bringing a paper shield to a gun fight; and * Not utilize anything resembling appropriate safeguards for protecting its own information and products using those same powerful AI tools it has developed. When "hey, maybe make sure we don't default to publishing information publicly!" can be considered an improvement on one's own cybersecurity standards, it's a little difficult to trust one's assessment of future threats. These cyber stocks had previously slumped in late February after Anthropic launched a new security feature for its AI model.

Watch: BBC journalist caught in travel chaos at Houston Airport

Travellers across the US are facing unusually long lines at airports, as hundreds of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents have quit while others continue to miss paychecks and call out of work amid a partial government shutdown. BBC journalist Christal Hayes was returning home after her honeymoon and was caught in the chaos, reporting wait times of over four hours. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were onsite to provide crowd control. US President Donald Trump has declared that he will sign an executive order to ensure that TSA agents are paid "immediately" which could provide temporary relief, but it remains unclear what authority the White House could invoke for such a move. Late on Thursday night, the US Senate passed a partial funding bill to pay TSA but it still has to be passed in the House.

Anthropic Quietly Tightens Claude's Peak-Hour Session Usage Limits

Anthropic has made adjustments to the peak-hour session limits for its Claude AI platform, specifically during weekdays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT. While the weekly caps remain unchanged, this modification has led to faster depletion of session allowances, creating challenges for users who rely on consistent access during critical hours. According to AI Godfather, this change has disrupted workflows for professionals and organizations, raising concerns about the company's communication practices and its impact on user trust. "To manage growing demand for Claude, we're adjusting our 5 hour session limits for free/pro/max subscriptions during on-peak hours. Your weekly limits remain unchanged. During peak hours (weekdays, 5am-11am PT / 1pm-7pm GMT), you'll move through your 5-hour session limits faster than before. Overall weekly limits stay the same, just how they're distributed across the week is changing. We've landed a lot of efficiency wins to offset this, but ~7% of users will hit session limits they wouldn't have before, particularly in pro tiers. If you run token-intensive background jobs, shifting them to off-peak hours will stretch your session limits further. We know this was frustrating, and are continuing to invest in scaling efficiently. We'll keep you posted on progress." Without issuing prior notice, Anthropic restructured how session limits are allocated during peak hours, defined as weekdays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. GMT). During these high-demand periods, users are now depleting their session allowances much faster than before. Although the total weekly limits remain intact, the stricter restrictions during peak hours have created significant bottlenecks. This has been particularly problematic for users on higher-tier plans, who depend on expanded allowances for resource-intensive tasks. The abrupt nature of these changes has left many users scrambling to adjust their workflows. For those who rely on Claude Code for time-sensitive projects, the new limits have led to delays and inefficiencies. The absence of clear communication from Anthropic about these adjustments has only compounded the frustration, leaving users feeling blindsided. The impact of these changes has been uneven, disproportionately affecting approximately 7% of users, many of whom are subscribers to the Pro and Max tiers. Pro-tier customers, who pay a premium for enhanced access, have reported exhausting their weekly limits within minutes during peak hours. This has caused widespread disruptions, particularly for developers, businesses and professionals who depend on Claude AI for critical operations. Key complaints from affected users include: For businesses and developers, these disruptions have had tangible consequences, such as delayed product launches and compromised client deliverables. The changes have also forced users to reconsider their reliance on Claude AI, with some exploring alternative platforms to meet their needs. Here is a selection of other guides from our extensive library of content you may find of interest on Claude AI. The lack of transparency surrounding these adjustments has drawn sharp criticism from users. Many have expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of prior communication, arguing that significant changes to service limits should have been announced well in advance. This sentiment has been echoed across social media platforms and user forums, where complaints about the sudden restrictions have been widespread. Comparisons to competing AI platforms, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google Gemini, have further fueled discontent. Users have pointed out that some free alternatives now offer more reliable service during peak hours, undermining the value proposition of Claude AI's paid tiers. Adding to the frustration, Anthropic's support chatbot, Finnbot, experienced outages during this period, leaving users without timely assistance to address their concerns. This is not the first time Anthropic has faced scrutiny over service reliability. In the weeks leading up to these changes, users reported global outages, error messages and disruptions to workflows. Despite these complaints, the company had previously dismissed claims of reduced usage limits as unfounded. The recent adjustments have only heightened concerns about Anthropic's transparency and its commitment to its user base. The recurring nature of these issues has raised broader questions about Anthropic's ability to scale its infrastructure to meet growing demand. Users have expressed concerns about the company's long-term reliability, particularly as competition in the AI space continues to intensify. For many, the silent implementation of stricter limits has eroded trust, making it difficult to rely on Claude AI for critical tasks. In response to the growing dissatisfaction, Anthropic has attributed the changes to increasing demand and efforts to improve efficiency. The company has encouraged users to schedule token-intensive tasks during off-peak hours to maximize their session limits. Additionally, Anthropic has pledged to invest in scaling its infrastructure and enhancing efficiency to better meet user needs. However, these assurances have done little to alleviate the immediate frustrations of affected customers. Many users feel that the company's response lacks urgency and fails to address the core issue of transparency. The absence of a clear timeline for resolving these challenges has further undermined confidence in Anthropic's ability to deliver consistent service. The silent tightening of peak-hour session limits underscores the challenges of balancing growing demand with service reliability in the competitive AI landscape. For users, this incident highlights the importance of clear communication and robust support systems in maintaining trust. The lack of transparency in implementing these changes has served as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the need for companies to prioritize user experience and proactive communication. As Anthropic works to address these issues, the broader implications for customer expectations and the competitive dynamics of AI services remain significant. With competitors like OpenAI and Google continuing to innovate and expand their offerings, Anthropic faces mounting pressure to not only resolve its current challenges but also to rebuild trust with its user base. The outcome of this situation will likely influence how users evaluate and choose AI platforms in the future. Disclosure: Some of our articles include affiliate links. Video. UAE: Flood chaos in Sharjah as heavy rain paralyses traffic

Sharjah among hardest‑hit areas in latest rain spell, video shows waterlogged roads and slow‑moving vehicles Heavy overnight rain brought fresh flooding and traffic disruption to Sharjah, as emergency crews battled the UAE's latest severe weather wave. Police and pumping trucks have been deployed across the emirate to clear standing water and manage traffic, as another wave of severe weather moved through the country on 27 March. The downpour matters in a country where flash flooding can quickly paralyse transport and overwhelm low‑lying roads and underpasses. The storm was part of a broader weather system affecting Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi, according to regional forecasts. The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology had warned of thunderstorms, strong winds and continued flood risk, particularly in exposed urban zones and wadis. Sharjah authorities had already activated a rain emergency plan earlier this week, mobilising 1,200 personnel and heavy equipment ahead of the latest downpour. Forecasters said Friday morning was expected to bring the final and most intense phase of the weather front before conditions begin to ease.

UAE: Flood chaos in Sharjah as heavy rain paralyses traffic | Africanews

Heavy overnight rain brought fresh flooding and traffic disruption to Sharjah, as emergency crews battled the UAE's latest severe weather wave. Police and pumping trucks have been deployed across the emirate to clear standing water and manage traffic, as another wave of severe weather moved through the country on 27 March. The downpour matters in a country where flash flooding can quickly paralyse transport and overwhelm low‑lying roads and underpasses. Data leak reveals Anthropic's latest secret model, Claude Mythos: report

Join the community built by investors, for investors. Create your free account >> Anthropic's (ANTHRO) latest AI model, Claude Mythos, which is also its most powerful, was revealed through a data leak, according to Fortune. Reports of the new model went public the same night that the Amazon (AMZN) and Google-backed (GOOGL)(GOOG) startup won a court order blocking a Trump Administration ban on government use of its artificial intelligence technology after arguing the move could cost the company billions in revenue. Anthropic has already allowed some select customers early access to test the new model, the report said. Details of Mythos became known due to a cache of documents that were stored in the company's content management system. It included not-yet published blog posts and other information, such as details for a planned invite-only CEO summit in Europe later this year. Anthropic has since taken steps to secure the data. It was exposed due to a "human error" in the CMS configuration. "We're developing a general-purpose model with meaningful advances in reasoning, coding, and cybersecurity," an Anthropic spokesperson said, according to the report. "Given the strength of its capabilities, we're being deliberate about how we release it." "Mythos is a new name for a new tier of model: larger and more intelligent than our Opus models -- which were, until now, our most powerful," according to an unpublished blog post on the new model. "We chose the name to evoke the deep connective tissue that links together knowledge and ideas." "Although Mythos is currently far ahead of any other AI model in cyber capabilities, it presages an upcoming wave of models that can exploit vulnerabilities in ways that far outpace the efforts of defenders," it read. Anthropic PBC is also reportedly weighing an initial public offering as soon as October, as it competes with rival OpenAI (OPENAI) in the IPO race. More on Anthropic and Amazon Claude Mythos is Anthropic's most powerful AI yet, with advances in reasoning, coding, and cybersecurity, suggesting strong product potential and competitive differentiation. The leak exposed sensitive information, but Anthropic has taken steps to secure it; however, it highlights operational risks for investors to consider. Anthropic is considering an IPO soon and its competition with OpenAI and recent technology breakthroughs position it as a notable contender in the AI investment space. Concerned About a Bear Market? Crusoe Announces New 900 MW AI Factory Campus in Abilene, Texas to Support Microsoft AI Infrastructure

New dedicated campus designed to support large-scale AI workloads; combined with Crusoe's existing Abilene infrastructure, the full site is expected to reach approximately 2.1 GW of total capacity ABILENE, Texas, March 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Crusoe, the AI factory company, today announced the development of a new, dedicated AI factory campus in Abilene, Texas. Supporting large scale AI workloads for Microsoft, the 900 MW site includes two new buildings and an onsite power plant to support grid resilience. The new campus is located adjacent to Crusoe's existing Abilene AI factory infrastructure, bringing the total projected capacity across the full Abilene site to 2.1 gigawatts (GW). Land clearing and site preparation for the new campus are already underway, with the first building expected to be energized in mid-2027, continuing Crusoe's record-setting pace that energized the first two buildings of the Abilene campus in under one year. "West Texas has become the Silicon Prairie for AI and the backbone for America's most consequential innovation," said Jodey Arrington, Chairman of the House Budget Committee and U.S. Representative from the 19th Congressional District of Texas. "This major expansion of the campus in Abilene by Crusoe and Microsoft is a testament to the hardworking people and pioneering spirit of the Big Country, ensuring America - not China - will lead the next frontier of information technology." "We're excited to welcome Microsoft to the Abilene community. Crusoe's existing data center campus has already contributed thousands of direct jobs to Abilene and fueled the local economy," said Weldon Hurt, Mayor, City of Abilene. "This new project will further strengthen our local economy; supporting our restaurants, our home builders while creating high-paying jobs for Abilene citizens. We're proud to be growing alongside partners who are committed to doing this right for Abilene." "As customer demand for AI continues to grow, Microsoft is focused on ensuring access to reliable and responsible infrastructure at scale," said Noelle Walsh, President, Cloud Operations & Innovation at Microsoft. "Crusoe's Abilene facility reflects the type of large-scale infrastructure that supports next generation AI while contributing long term value to the local community." Delivering gigascale AI infrastructure on accelerated timelines The new campus is the latest proof point of Crusoe's ability to deliver giga-scale AI infrastructure at a pace the industry has never seen. Crusoe's first Abilene project - two 100 MW buildings - was constructed and energized in under one year, setting a new standard for large-scale AI infrastructure delivery. The second phase, which added six additional buildings to bring total campus capacity to 1.2 GW, is expected to reach completion by the end of 2026. The new campus, which includes two new buildings plus a dedicated on-site power plant, establishes Crusoe as one of the world's leading AI factory developers, capable of delivering giga-scale capacity to hyperscalers and AI labs at accelerated pace. Advertisement "Crusoe is building a new AI factory campus in Abilene, purpose-built for the demands of next-generation AI," said Chase Lochmiller, Co-founder and CEO of Crusoe. "By integrating 900 megawatts of new on-site power generation, we will continue building the industrial foundation for American AI - at a velocity the industry has never seen." Energy-first AI infrastructure The new campus is engineered to support the evolving requirements of next-generation AI silicon. Key features include: Advertisement * Behind-the-meter dedicated on-site energy infrastructure: The 900MW on-site power plant provides dedicated energy, paired with an MV BESS system, which is designed to enhance operational reliability and grid resilience. * Ultra-high-density compute: Each of the two new buildings is designed to deliver 336 MW of critical IT load, supporting the rack densities required by the next generation of GPU architectures. * Water efficient cooling: The new campus also features Crusoe's closed-loop non-evaporative liquid cooling systems. * Economic impact: The development is expected to create thousands of additional construction and hundreds of permanent jobs in the Abilene region, furthering the campus's role as a vital economic engine for West Texas. The first eight buildings of Crusoe's existing data center campus in Abilene are expected to deliver up to 32% of the City of Abilene's and up to 25% of Taylor County's current FY 2025 Budgeted Property Tax Revenue. With this newly announced expansion of the campus, Crusoe anticipates the economic and tax contributions to significantly increase, creating even more positive impact in the Abilene community. About Crusoe As the AI factory company, Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. The company provides a reliable, scalable, cost-effective, energy-first solution for AI infrastructure. By harnessing large-scale energy sources, building AI-optimized data centers, and delivering a powerful AI cloud platform, Crusoe empowers its customers and partners to build the future faster.
